Chat, preview, live, looked after
A chat
Twenty minutes, in your shop or on the phone. What you do, who for, where, and the three things people always ask. I take notes; you carry on with your day.
A preview
Within a week you get a link to your site, on a temporary address. You read it on your phone and tell me what is wrong. One round of changes is in the price.
Live
Your domain, your Google profile pointing at it, submitted to Google and Bing. You pay the second half of the build fee and the monthly starts the month after.
Looked after
New prices? New hours? Message me and it is done within two working days. Once a quarter you get a one-line email on how you are showing up on Google.

The Web Refresh builds websites for independent businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk: shops, trades, cafes, salons, anyone whose customers are within a few miles and searching on a phone. The job is to take something confusing and make it simple, then keep it working.
The pitch is simple too. Before we speak, a version of your site gets built and sent to you as a link. Read it on your phone, in your shop. If you like it, it is yours in a week. If not, no harm done.
The sites are fast, they work on a phone, and they do the one job a small business site has to do: when someone in Yarmouth searches for what you do, you come up, and they can ring you in one tap.
Questions
Things people ask before they say yes
Do I get an email address with my name on it?
Yes, and it is in the monthly. From day one, anything sent to you@yourbusiness.co.uk lands in whatever inbox you already use, so you carry on reading your email exactly where you read it now. On Care and Grow you get a proper mailbox too, so replies go out as you@yourbusiness.co.uk instead of the Hotmail address you set up in 2009. Extra mailboxes for staff are £3 a month each.
Who owns the website?
You do. The domain is registered in your name. If you stop paying the monthly, I hand you a zip of the whole site and you can take it anywhere.
Why is there a monthly fee?
Because a website is not a thing you buy once. Hosting costs money, domains expire, prices change, Google changes. The monthly is what keeps it working without you having to think about it. £50 is the price of not logging into anything, ever.
Can I edit it myself?
No, and that is on purpose. You message me what has changed and it is done within two working days. It is quicker than learning a website builder and it never breaks.
Do I need to write anything?
No. We have a 30-minute chat, I write it up in your words, you tell me what is wrong, I fix it. You supply the facts and the opinions; I do the typing.
What about photos?
Yours, ideally: your place, your work, your van, you. Phone photos in good daylight are fine, and I will tell you which ones to take. Where there is a gap I use properly licensed stock and I will tell you when I have.
Will I be on the first page of Google?
I will not promise a ranking; nobody honest can. What I will do is make sure Google can read the site properly, your Business Profile is right, and the words on the site match what people actually search for. For a local business that is most of the battle.
What do you not do?
Online shops with baskets. Big company sites with a marketing department. WordPress rescues. If that is you, I will point you to someone good.
